Five Things I Love-
1. The Belly. Sure it pokes out and makes movement a challenge, but it's a sweet reminder of what's going on inside. Remarkable. From single cell to an 8lbs little human all in 9 months.
2. Kicks and Wiggles. I have been blessed with very active babies. Like my other children, I feel this little guy moving almost constantly. Watch my belly for only a short while and you'll witness some bumpy alien ripples. It's such an intimate thing though, feeling your baby. It's a connection only mom has before you have to share the little one with the rest of the world.
3. The Food. I eat alot of very bad (ei-tasty) food and I only feel guilty on occasion.
4. The Naps. Bed rest isn't that much fun. I'd rather be doing about 4000 other things. BUT...I sure have enjoyed my daily mid-morning naps. (Especially when its kind a gloomy and rainy like it was today!)
5. The End. Sometime in May, it will be over and I will have new person in my arms. He'll smell good and make sweet sounds. I'll get to kiss him and we'll get to know each other. And it will be kind of bitter-sweet as I'll never be pregnant again.
5 Things that Aren't so Great
1. The Butt. Maybe it's natures way of providing balance for the belly?? Seriously though, I don't need that much balance.
2. The Heartburn. Whoa- it is spectacular. It doesn't matter what I eat or when I eat it. Thank goodness for Ultra Strength tums.
3. The Food. I miss spicy Thai and tomato sauces.
4. The Comments. My favorite of the week: "Wow! You've really exploded!" My friend Marianne, who is also expecting, has recorded some great comments that she has received as well.
5. The Last Month. Getting stuck like a turtle on one's back, hips popping in and out, night sweats, ankles swelling, poddy breaks every 15 minutes, zebra striped stretch marks. Oh ya! The end of the pregnancy is super sexy!
