"It'll be fun!" I probably said that to Pat 50 times in the weeks leading up to this trip. He always looked at me dubiously. Apparently he thought driving 7 hours with 4 small children did not sound fun in the least. Regardless, we loaded the kids up on the Friday before Presidents day and headed south. And regardless of what Pat tells you, it was fun!
The boys were so excited. Josh called it "the adventure", Calvin liked the treats, and Gabe was thrilled to be checking another city off of his Places to Go. Isn't that the great thing about kids? Everything is new and wonderful. The hotel was "fancy", the restaurant was "the fanciest ever", and the pool-- don't even get them started on the pool. (Josh woke up the first morning, went to the window, looked out on the rainy, blustery landscape and declared, "It's perfect for swimming." and he meant it. He went and put on his swim suit.) Even better, the boys met up with 3 of their favorite beings in all the world-- Grandma, Grandpa, and Meg the Dog.

Note: I have omitted the pooping incident, the lying incident, the finger smashed in the door incident, and the naked women incident. If you care to hear those stories, let me know and I'll fill you in!
In spite of various "incidents" it was a fabulous weekend. Can't get enough of those boys. Everyone here has heard the stories over & over. Loews is #1 in our book. We stayed there again on the way to Ajo.

Why would you omit a pooping incident?

Pat is a good sport for taking the boys to Sin City. I love the picture of Calvin with the bunny ears. Adorable!
