It's official! I made it past the big 34 week mark (and the perinatologist insists I'm at 35)! This is a huge date as anything before this meant a probable transfer to Primary Children's hospital. At this point the Dr. feels there may be a few days in NICU (and maybe no time in NICU) but that we have passed the truly worrisome time.
I'm doing OK. I've been able to venture out on a few errands, went to dinner with friends one night, and have gone to church a couple of times. It just depends on the day. Unfortunately I got a cold and my body struggles a little when I get sick. Last night I had some consistent, eye-watering, "shoot that hurts" contractions, so I've been drugged up since then. I'm sure a day or 2 of drugs and rest and I'll be back to my super-exciting, never-stop, life style that I've settled into. Can I just tell you how awesome it will be in a couple of weeks to not worry about those contractions and in fact encourage them to continue?
What an adventure this has been. I've been pregnant for 34 weeks and on restrictions for 14 of those weeks. After 14 weeks, the next 2 weeks will certainly fly by, right?
Congratulations! (happy dance). You've had a long wait to get past this. Of course, you do know that once the baby gets the official 'go-ahead' he is not going to want to come out - don't you? :-)

Before you know it you'll be holding that little darling in your arms. I personally believe that the end of pregnancy is miserable so that we'll be so excited to get the baby/babies out that we aren't concerned about the lack of sleep in the future! Not that I'm wishing you a miserable time in the upcoming weeks--I just know you'll be thrilled when he's born.

Way to go. We think of you often and truly miss the 3 little guys.
Thanks for the blog, we have been able to keep up even though we are clear over here. Pauline is leaving the 7th to go see Ethan, she's really in need of a granny fix. Poor me I have to stay here and go to the south of France near Marseille then come back here and get ready to go to Moscow. (no, not Idaho) I know you probably won't be able to come visit with the new addition almost ready to arrive but who knows, we'll be here another 2 1/2 years. We should see you this December as we have to return to the States for a month before starting my 2nd tour and plan to come to Utah. Good luck and love lots. Leon
